Program Administration and Faculty

The training program would be offered by the “Bioinformatics and Clinical Research” Group of the AU-KBC Research Centre, and the Program Coordinator (Dr. G. Ramesh Kumar) would have the over all Administrative responsibility for its conduct. The Academic responsibility for the design and conduct of the Program would rest with the Course Coordinator/Medical Director (Dr. V.T.S.Sriram) who would be a person with direct experience in all aspects of Clinical Trials. The Program would be advised and monitored by an Advisory Committee headed by a Chief Advisor (Dr. M.D.Nair) and whose members would be from the various fields associated with Clinical Research and allied areas. There would be a Faculty Committee consisting of experts who would be teaching the different topics and who would review the progress periodically. In addition to the scientists from the AU-KBC Centre and Anna University, the faculty would be drawn from institutions that are directly involved in Clinical Research and related work such as Hospitals, Medical Colleges, CROs, Pharmaceutical companies, National Laboratories, Universities, Life Sciences laboratories etc. Experts would also be invited from outside the Chennai region to train the participants in specialized topics. At the end of the program, successful candidates would be issued a certificate that would also reflect the level of performance of individual candidates.

The training program would be conducted at the AU-KBC Research Centre, MIT Campus of Anna University Chennai, Chromepet, Chennai-44.
