The
Program Breakup and
Duration
The program contents would be covered in one-year duration as three parts.
PART
–I: Theory Classes (4 Months)
Conducted at the AU-KBC Research Centre, MIT Campus of Anna University,
Chromepet, Chennai-44. 5 days a week (Mon - Fri), in two sessions from 9.30 AM to 5.00 PM, leading to about
500 hours of contact. The theory training also covers visits to Clinical
Pharmacology units, basic exposure in Clinical Data Management, Computer and IT
Labs, Communication skills, etc.
In terms of
academic value, the theory program contents would be equivalent to about 25
credits of a normal university academic program.
PART
–II: Onsite Training (2 Months)
Conducted at the AHERF Premises of Apollo Hospitals,
Greams
Road, Chennai-28. On-site
training, 5 days a week (Mon - Fri), in two sessions from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM, leading
to about 350 hours of contact. The onsite training also covers visits to
Hospitals conducting clinical trials, interaction with Institutional Ethics
Committee etc.
PART
–III: Internship as Trainee CRC (6 Months)
6 days a week (Mon - Sat), the candidates would work as CRC (Trainees)
with their work allotted on duty basis. During this period, they can be posted
to any of the following locations of the Apollo Hospitals: Ahmedabad,
Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad,
Madurai and Mysore.
This period will count as Industry Experience.
