The Primary aim and scope of the course is to make the candidates employable as Clinical Research Associates (CRAs), Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs) in Pharmaceutical companies, Contract Research Organizations (CROs),Support Staffs for the Investigators, Hospitals, Safety Surveillance Staff for the Sponsors of Clinical Trials, Clinical Data Management and Biostatistics services to various clients involved with Clinical Research, Medical writing and publications, Regulatory and Drugs Control Agencies, Training faculty, Quality Assurance & Business Development etc. The Program also serves as a sound introduction to this domain for other potential players in the industry such as medical practitioners, pharmaceutical scientists etc.

               The Program is for One Year Duration, Full Time and consisting 2000 contact hours of (a) 4 Months Theory Classes held at the AU-KBC Research Center, MIT Campus of Anna University, Chrompet, Chennai (b) 2 Months of onsite Practical classes held at AHERF, Thousand lights, Chennai and (c) 6 months of Internship at one of Apollo Hospitals Trial sites at Chennai where the candidates actually participate in the conduct of Clinical Trials.

               This unique combination of sound Theoretical and strong Practical training ensures the employability of the candidate immediately on completion of the Program.

               Other than AU-KBC Research Center and Anna University, Chennai the course Faculties are drawn from the reputed Hospitals, Contract Research Organizations, Site Management Organizations, Research Laboratories & Institutes, Universities, Medical Colleges, Pharmaceutical companies,etc., in and around Chennai.

              All aspects of the program are supervised by a Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) involving senior members from AU-KBC and AHERF.
