The Program is specially designed for working professionals in the health  care domain, and is meant to give them a sound introduction to the field  of Clinical Research as possible career option. It will provide them with  career openings as Clinical Research Associates (CRAs), Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs) in Pharmaceutical companies, Contract Research  Organizations, Site Management Organizations as Support Staff for  Investigators, Hospitals, Surveillance staff for Sponsors of Clinical  Trials, Biostatistics services to various clients involved with Clinical Trials, Regulatory and Drug Control Agencies, Training Faculty, Quality  Assurance & Business Development etc., The Program also serves as a sound  introduction to this domain for other potential players in the industry  such as medical practioners, pharmaceutical scientists etc.,
 
               The duration for the Program is for 6 Months, 2 full days a week (Saturdays and Sundays) consisting 200 Hrs of Theory Classes at Au-KBC  Research Center, MIT Campus of Anna University, Chrompet, Chennai and 200  Hrs of contact at AHERF (Apollo Hospitals Educational & Research  Foundation) trial sites plus 100 Hrs of Practical training or Internship at both AUKBC/AHERF.
 
The last two weeks of the Internship or Training would be on a full time  basis.
 
All aspects of the Program are advised by an Advisory Board of eminent experts and supervised by a Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) involving senior members from AU-KBC and AHERF.
