MULTIPLE ACCESS SCHEMES FOR OFDM BASED
INDOOR WIRELESS SYSTEMS
The performance of various OFDM based multiple access schemes for the downlink of an indoor wireless system is investigated. We compare the performance of various schemes with the subcarrier by subcarrier adaptation scheme in terms of the total transmit power. Different channel models are used in the investigation as the performance is dependent on the channel gain in the frequency domain. The effect of the inter-user correlation among the channel gains is analyzed using simulations. Results indicate that in the case of high correlation there is no gain due to the use of adaptive allocation schemes.
