AU-KBC Research Centre successfully participated in the international DISRPT 2025 Shared Task, a globally recognized evaluation forum conducted in association with EMNLP/CODI-CRAC. The event brings together leading research institutions worldwide to benchmark discourse processing systems across multiple languages and formalisms.

Our team developed a multilingual discourse analysis system based on advanced transformer architecture (XLM-RoBERTa). The system was designed to handle multiple discourse formats and languages using a unified model.
SeCoRel secured First Place in Task 1 – Elementary Discourse Unit (EDU) Segmentation under the "Plain Track" category, achieving a mean F1-score of 87.38.
This top ranking places AU-KBC ahead of several international research teams and universities, demonstrating excellence in Discourse Analysis and natural language processing.
